MEET EMILY
| Emily McBean received her graduate Parent Coach Certification® from The Parent Coaching Institute, the leading organization in the field of parent coaching, affiiliated with Seattle Pacific University. With a passion for working with parents and children, Emily spent seven successful years teaching middle school science. This rewarding time, filled with hundreds of parent interactions, and coupled with becoming a parent herself, fueled Emily's decision to pursue her degree in parent coaching. Emily experienced and witnessed that parents, between books and the internet, are often inundated with information. And, while much of this information is quite useful, it can also become overwhelming and cause parents to question their gut instincts. She coaches parents to trust themselves and look for what they are doing right, all based on the understanding that they know their children best. Emily received her Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education from Indiana University and her Middle School Endorsement from National Louis University. She lives in Lake Bluff, IL with her husband and two daughters. |
