Services
The mission of The Parent Element is to provide effective and inspiring coaching sessions and workshops that catalyze your family to bridge the gap between what is and what could be.

Using the language of Appreciative Inquiry, we start from a positive place and build upon what is currently working well in your family.  While counseling serves to heal past wounds, coaching begins where you currently are and moves forward from that point.

Our coaching services and workshops are incredibly personalized.  What works well for one family, might not be effective for  your situation.  As parents, you know yourself and your family best.  Consequently, our PCI Certified Parent Coaches® will not tell you what to do and what not to do.  Instead we will ask a series of questions and, together as a team, co-create the best solutions for you and your family.

Coaching Services

Coaching services can be for individuals, couples, or small groups.

There are four phases of the coaching process, usually completed over at least six sessions, with ideally eight to twelve sessions to ensure sustainable changes.

Summary of the Phases

Phase 1 is a discovery process of what is and is not working in your current situation.  This phase involves many questions about your day-to-day life with your family, especially related to how you're feeling about your experience as a parent.

Phase 2 is the time for articulating your preferred future for you and your family.  Together we look at "what if", and realistically look at what your family's ideals would look and feel like.

Phase 3 is the time for taking action on the desired changes that move you and your family toward your preferred future.  These changes, both small and large, are empowering and they serve as the outward signs of your desire to make positive changes within your family.

Phase 4 is the time for recognizing, celebrating, and adjusting to the changes that have taken place for you and your family.  Our goal is long-term change, so we work to makes your well-earned changes sustainable and continuously beneficial.
